Hi friends, In this tutorial we will see how to transform a normal image into a blood scene image, here I have used some filters, talking about filters, it is one of the most powerful features in photoshop, especially when it comes to photo manipulation, the effective use of filters are unavoidable. Ok now lets move on to the tutorial.
Here I have used an image of a man, brush an a cracked wood.
STEP-1 Open the man image first.
STEP-2 Now Press CTRL+J two times to duplicate the image twice, once you have done that switch off the eye icon of the last layer, this will hide the layer.
STEP-3 Select the top layer, press CTRL+SHIFT+U to desaturate the image.
STEP-4 Now we will add some noise to the image, go to filter menu> Noise> Add Noise and the amount to 10, set the distribution to Gaussian and tick the monochromatic.
STEP-5 Again go to filter menu> Blur> Gaussian Blur and set the radius to 5.
STEP-6 Now set the blending mode of this layer into color burn. This is how the image will look.
STEP-7 Now we are going to add one more filter effect, go to filter menu> Distort> Glass and set the following values as given below.
STEP-8 Ok now we will add up some effects which will make the image really creepy and realistic. Take a new layer at the top of all layers, using the brush tool with the downloaded brush we will create some hand prints upon the wall. Before that set the foreground and background color as dark red and some light red, adjust it accordigly to match the blood color See below how I have done it. You can use some splatter brushes to spray some blood too. Once done set the blending mode of this layer to overlay.
STEP-9 Now open the cracked wood texture place it at the right of the interface as I have done below, now press CTRL+J to duplicate the layer, once you have duplicated the layer, move it towards left. Using the eraser tool press (T) for shortcut. Erase some part of the texture covering the man’s back, see the image below. Once you have finished with it, set the blending mode of these two layers into overlay.
Fine now we have completed the tut, that was an easy and simple tutorial right. Here is the final preview.
