HI friends.. Back with another tutorial. Here in this tutorial we will create a AXE deodorant can from scratch. Its always fun doing things from scratch, it gives the designer the confidence to do better, Illustration techniques are difficult in the beginning, but once we become adept, then the creation can go wild and crazy. Ok now let’s move on to the tutorial.
STEP-1 Create a new document with height and width of 700 px. 
STEP-2 Now take a rounded rectangle tool with 5 pixels and draw a rectangle shape.
STEP-3 Now use the add anchor point tool from the tools palette and add anchor points.
STEP-4 Now press A this tool is called direct selection tool, using this tool adjust the new anchor points accordingly. See the image below. 
STEP-5 Using the elliptical tool, create a shape as you see below. 
STEP-6 Now press CTRL+J to duplicate this layer, bring in the transform tool by pressing CTRL+T. and transform it accordingly. 
STEP-7 Again using the rounded rectangle tool with 5px draw a shape, this will be the body of the can. 
STEP-8 Add anchor points and adjust it accordingly. See the image below. 
STEP-9 Select the head layer of the can, double click on the layer to bring in the layer style window, and apply the following layer style values.
STEP-10 Select the small shape above the head layer, double click on this layer and apply the following layer style values.
STEP-11 Select the topmost layer let the color code of this shape be # 323131, double click on this layer and apply the following layer style values.
STEP-12 Pick the pen tool and draw a shape as you see below. 
STEP-13 Go to filtermenu>Blur>Gaussianblur and set the radius amount to 0.6, and set the opacity level to 61%.
STEP-14 Now we are going to create the grip for the can’s head part. Take a rounded rectangle tool and draw a shape similar to what I have drawn, once done, apply the following the layer styles.
STEP-15 After applying the layer style values, duplicate it and place it accordingly. Once done select all these grip layers and set the opacity level to 45%. See the image below.
STEP-16 Using the pen tool, create a shape at the bottom the head. 
STEP-17 Double click on the layer and apply the gradient overlay values.
STEP-18 Again to go filtermenu>Blur>Gaussianblur and set the radius amount to 1. And set the opacity level to 56%.
STEP-19 With the pen tool again create a shape upon the body part layer. Once done go to Filtermenu>Blur>Gaussianblur and set the radius amount to 4, and set the opacity level to 15%. 
STEP-20 Copy the layer style value of the head layer by right clicking upon the layer, now select the body part layer right click on the layer and paste the layer style. 
STEP-21 Pick the pen tool draw a shape below the body. This should look like this. 
STEP-22 Now give some layer style values as below.
STEP-23 Take the type tool with the relevant font, here I have used GOCA LOGOTYPE VETA, and type AXE. Once done, press CTRL+T to transform the font, right click on the transform tool and select the option rotate 90 CCW. 
STEP-24 Create a new layer upon the body part layer, using some swirl brushes with the foreground color # ff8534, create a design like you see below. Now set the blending mode of this layer to HARDLIGHT. 
STEP-25 Create a new layer, with the use of marquee tool, drag it accordingly as you see in the image below. 
STEP-26 Fill this layer with any color, double click on it, and apply the gradient overlay layer style values.
STEP-27 Select the background layer fill it with the color code # 1c6393. After applying the color go to filtermenu>Noise>Addnoise and set the noise amount to 5.
STEP-28 Again go to filtermenu>Render>Lightingeffects and apply the following values.
STEP-29 Now select all the layers excluding the last two layers, which is the background layer and the gradient layer. After selecting these layers press CTRL+G to group it. Now duplicate this group, hide the original group layer. Select the duplicate group layer press CTRL+E to flatten the layer to one single layer.
STEP-30 Now duplicate this layer again, bring in the transform tool right click upon it select the option flip vertical. Now place this layer below, this layer is for reflection. Adjust it accordingly and set the opacity of this layer to 32%.
STEP-31 Download some water splash brushes, and brush it accordingly as if the water is splashing up.
That’s it. We have completed the tutorial. This is the final preview of the AXE DEODORANT CAN.
