Photoshop Tutorial: Create A Realistic Graffiti Text On A Wall.

Hi friends, Today in this Photoshop tutorial we will create a realistic graffiti on a wall. Here we will be using some filters and importantly displacement map to make the graffiti look as realistic as possible. Ok fine now let’s move on to the tutorial.

IMAGE

STEP-1 Download and open the image.

STEP-2 Now we will rotate the image, to do that go to Image>image rotation and select the Flip Canvas Horizontal.

STEP-3 Switch to channels palette and select the red channel and duplicate it.

STEP-4 Now again come back to layers palette, go to filter>blur>Gaussian blur and set the radius amount to 1 pixels.

STEP-5 Now we will save this file as displacement map, press CTRL+S to save. Save this file under any name.

STEP-6 Now pick the text tool and type any word of your choice, rasterize the type. Let the color of this text be # f151cd.

STEP-7 Bring in the transform tool by pressing CTRL+T, right click on it and select the option perspective, transform it accordingly as I have done it below.

STEP-8 Now go to filter>distort>displace, a small displace window will appear, set the following values accordingly, and press ok. Now another window will open, browse the saved displacement file, and press ok. Now you will see slight changes in the text. Now the text has been displaced accordingly to the background.

STEP-9 Double click on this text layer and apply the following layer style values. Here I have used DROP SHADOW, GRADIENT OVERLAY and STROKE.

STEP-10 Once you have applied the layer styles, set the blending mode of this layer to OVERLAY.

That’s it friends we have completed the tutorial. This is the final preview of the image.

I hope you have liked this tutorial and have learnt few techniques, which you can use it in you works. We will be back with another tutorial. Enjoy the weekend.
