How To Create A Slider Button In Photoshop.

Hello Friends, we are back with another Photoshop Tutorial. Here we will see how to create a button in Photoshop. I was browsing for icons in net and found a button, which was so beautiful and realistic. So i thought why not produce a tutorial in creating this beautiful Button. Ok friends let’s move on to the tutorial.

STEP-1 Open a new document with width and height of 500 px respectively.

STEP-2 Download the texture from the following link, open the texture and place it and size it accordingly.

STEP-3 Now pick the rounded rectangle tool with radius of 10cms and draw a shape as you below. Once you have drawn the shape, press CTRL+ Click on this shape layer, this will select the shape, now hide this layer by clicking on the eye icon on the layer palette.




STEP-4 Once you have made the selection, select the texture layer and copy and paste the selected layer. See the image below. Now we have got the texture layer. Now double click on this layer to bring in the layer style window and apply the following layer style values. Here i have used DROP SHADOW effect.



STEP-5 Now again using the rounded rectangle tool create another shape as you see below in the image. with the colour code # 484949. Here we will give some effect to this shape. To do that, go to filter menu> Noise > Add Noise and set the noise amount to 2.45%. Once you have applied this effect, again go to filter menu> Pixelate> Crystallize and set the cell size to 4.




STEP-6 In this step we will give this image some layer style effects. To do that double click on this layer to bring in the layer style window and apply the inner shadow effect.


STEP-7 Here we will place a texture upon this image, to do that, CTRL+Click on this layer, this will select the image layer, now select the background texture layer, copy and paste the selected texture. Now place this layer upon the top layer. Once it is done, set the blending mode of this layer to OVERLAY.



STEP-8 Pick the rounded rectangle tool again, with the colour code # 363737 draw a shape as you see below.

STEP-9 Double click on this layer to bring in the layer style window and apply the following layer style values. Here i have used INNER SHADOW and STROKE effect.




STEP-10 Now in this step we will create the slider button. To do that pick the elliptical tool, and draw a circle as you see below. Double click on this layer and apply the following layer style values. Here i have used DROP SHADOW, BEVEL EMBOSS and GRADIENT OVERLAY.





STEP-11 Again using the elliptical tool draw a small circle shape with the colour code #6ba546. Again here we will use some layer style effect. as usual double click on this shape layer, and apply the following layer style values. Here i have used INNER SHADOW. Once you have applied the values, set the opacity of this layer to 58%. This is how the image will look.



STEP-12 Here in this step we will create a LED light, to do that pick the elliptical tool and draw a small circle shape with the colour code # 56c340. Double click on this layer to bring in the layer style and apply the following layer style value. Here i have used OUTER GLOW, INNER GLOW, STROKE. Finally add some gloss and text indicating ON, OFF.
