Hi friends, its been long time since a new tutorial. Since this month is fully occupied with Olympics extravaganza, i thought of doing something simple and creative. So here we will be creating a beautiful Olympics invitation card in few steps. Ok let’s move to the tutorial.
STEP-1 Open a new document with width of 200 pixels and height of 350 pixels.
STEP-2 Now fill the BG with colour code # d2107e.
STEP-3 Now using the elliptical tool draw a small circle, once it is done, double click on the layer to bring in the layer style window and apply stroke value as mention below. After apply the values set the fill value to 0%. Then duplicate the layers by hold ALT key and drag and place the shape accordingly to form a Olympic ring.
STEP-4 Again using the elliptical tool draw another circle as you see below. Set the colour code of the each circle accordingly.
STEP-5 Now pick the rectangle tool and draw a shape as you see below, let this shape be below the circle layers. Set the colour codes of each rectangle with light colours as related to the circle colours.
STEP-6 Now using the rounded rectangle tool with 10 cm radius with the colour code of # d2107e draw a shape as i have done below.
STEP-7 Again pick up the rectangle tool and draw a shape as you see below, now double click on this layer to bring in the layer style window and apply gradient overlay values. Once it is done, duplicate the shape and place it accordingly.
STEP-8 In this step download the Olympics logo and place it at the center.
STEP-9 Duplicate the previously created Olympic rings, transform the rings into smaller shape and place it accordingly. See the image below.
STEP-10 In this last step pick the type tool and type the following words. here i have used everyday font which is almost similar to the font used in Olympics. Once this is done, duplicate the Olympic logo place above the background layer, using the transform tool (CTRL+T), make this logo into a larger size. Now set the opacity of this layer to 8%.
That’s it friends, we have completed the tutorial. Here is the final preview of the image.
