Photoshop Tutorial: Create A Movie Clapper Board Business Card.

Hi friends, here we are again with an Photoshop Tutorial which will cater your graphic designing skills. Actually its been very long since designcrust has come out with an Photoshop Tutorial. Today, in this tutorial we will see how to a Create A Movie Clapper Board Business Card. This is a very unique idea that came about my mind, i thought it would be a great tutorial at the same time simple and elegant. Fine now let’s move on to the tutorial.

Step-1 Open a new document with width of 2 inches height of 3.25 inches.

Step-2 In this step pick the rounded rectangle tool, set the radius to 20 pixels, and draw a shape like i have done it. Let the fill colour of this shape be black. Name this layer as bottom.

Step-3 Once you have done with step-2, press CTRL+J to duplicate this layer and name this layer as top. Now hide the top layer.

Step-4 Pick the rectangle tool, at the top of the menu bar select the option subtract from shape area and cut the above part of the shape. See the image below.

Step-5 Now unhide the other shape layer, implement the step-4 again here, but here cut the bottom part of the shape. This is how the image will look.

Step-6 Now we have two different shapes, with separate top and bottom shapes. Select the bottom layer, double click on this layer to bring in the layer style window and apply the following layer style values, here i have used STROKE.

Step-7 Select the ‘Top’ layer double click on this layer to bring in the layer style window, apply the following layer style values. Here i have used bevel emboss and gradient overlay.

Step-8 Pick the rectangle from the tools palette, and draw a shape as you see below. Then what we have do is, copy the layer style value of the previous layer, that is the layer style of ‘Top’ layer, once you have copied the layer style values of this layer, select the newly created rectangle shape layer and paste it on this layer. This is how the image will look once the layer styles are applied.

Step-9 In this step we will create stripes at the top of the business card, to do that, pick the pen tool or just press P to bring in the pen tool, and draw a shape as i have drawn below. Let the fill colour of this shape be white. Once done duplicate this layer and place it accordingly as i have it below.

Step-10 Again pick the pen tool and draw a similar as i have drawn below in this step. Double click on this layer to bring in the layer style window and apply the following layer style values. Here i have used BEVEL EMBOSS and GRADIENT OVERLAY values.

Step-11 Pick the elliptical tool from the tools palette and draw a shape as you see below.

Step-12 Double click on this layer and apply the following layer style values. Here i have used DROP SHADOW and GRADIENT OVERLAY values.

Step-13 Again using the elliptical tool draw a small circle shape at the centre of the previous circle shape. Let the fill colour of this shape be # c70303. Once done double click on this layer to bring in the layer style window and apply the following layer style values. Here i have used INNER GLOW value.

Step-14 Once again using the elliptical tool we will create a much smaller circle, see the image below. Can u see the small shape. Let the fill colour of this shape be something near to black not complete black, once it is done, double click on this layer and apply the layer style values here i have used BEVEL EMBOSS values.

Step-15 Now duplicate this small shape and place it accordingly. See the image below, to see how i have placed these shapes.

Step-16 Pick the line tool, at the top of the menu tab, set the radius to 2 pixels and draw some lines with fill colour white.

Step-17 Here in this final step, pick the type tool and fill the card with necessary information.
